Continuous Improvement

Now you were able to see how busy my average week is.

A friend of mine read these entries and said: “Wow, you have so much discipline.” But actually, I have been doing it for 6 years now  and I don’t think it’s discipline anymore, but away of life.

Yesterday I went to see a friend, another MS companion whom I haven’t seen for a couple of months. As he was talking about how his condition has gotten worse, I immediately remembered the time when I had those same symptoms, but it was such a long time ago, that I rarely even think about it.

Funnily enough, I did get another little reminder a couple of days ago. I was at my friend’s place – a car enthusiast who drives a pimped-up 40 year old Golf 1. His car broke down so he asked me, my brother and another friend who were with us, to push the car to help him start it. I said “sure” without even thinking about it. So we started to push the car, and after a couple of meters, I started to run while pushing. This is when I started to feel my MS numbness in my legs… and at that moment the car started. I was so thrilled that I was able to do something like that, despite the slight numbness. And I did it without thinking.
